Finally, THE Update since Christmas!

Life is so crazy I can't seem to stop long enough to catch up our blog!! Must be why our scrapbooks are forever in perpetual catch up mode... Anyway, here is the quicky version of what the 4 Urrys have been up to! The boys and I took off for Atlanta back on Dec. 19th and Dan joined us two days later to spend the holidays with my family. Both of my brothers also came into town with their families and it was one big party! Brandon and Nick had a blast hanging out with their cousins, Jack and Julia, for the first week until they had to fly home Christmas Day. We FINALLY got to meet the newest addition

to the family, my brother Jeffrey's little girl- adorable Kelsey that is 3 months old. We drove up to Mema's house in the North Georgia mountains to have lunch and spend the day with her. She is recovering from a broken leg but is healing well. We went to Brasstown Bald Resort for lunch . It was a lot of fun to spend time with her. Christmas Day was spent having fun and eating delicious food. My mom and Dan had fun in the kitchen and we all appreciated their efforts! We were able to take a Knowles family picture of my parents and my brothers together in front of the Christmas tree. Nick and Jack both received hand held games and Brandon got a new IPod for Christmas and Granddaddy enjoyed them, too. Nick also got a Ripstick from Grandma and Granddaddy and has enjoyed learning to ride it. The rest of the vacation went quickly and it was New Year's Eve and time to fly home - almost. Nick began not feeling well Sunday night and by lunch Monday was one sick little boy! My dad left for the airport with Dan and Brandon who needed to get back to work and school and my mom took Nick and I to Children's Hospital where he spent the next 9 days getting over a nasty respiratory virus and asthma problems! I told him I love to see Grandma and Granddaddy but we have to find a better way to do it! He got out of the hospital January 9th and he and I flew home on the 10th. About a week later we got the biggest snow of the season and Brandon and Nick had a fun time building snow forts and playing. They even built a snow fort big enough for both boys and our black lab Hershey. With quite a bit of coaxing (and shoving) they got Hershey to go through the tunnel door and hang out inside! Basketball has started and keeps us busy 5 days a week between 2 teams for Nick, one team and ward ball for Brandon plus Brandon has started a job perfect for him. He is refereeing little league basketball. He really enjoys it.

Dan and a friend of his are coaching one of Nick's teams and they all really enjoy it. I sit on the bench and cheer everyone on and take the pictures! I also have gotten back to my job at the school that I love dearly and who were more than understanding of the time off I needed to help Nick. That is the last month in a nutshell!

We now look forward to the Superbowl next week - Go Patriots in our house - and my plan is to now keep up on our blog on a regular basis again! I hope everyone has a great week!

P.S. We just found out a little while ago about the passing of our dear, dear prophet, President Hinckley. I told Dan I am so sad and we will all miss him but I am so happy he gets to see his sweetheart that he has missed so much! He was such a dear man with his wonderful sense of humor and his love for and dedication to all of us. We will miss him!!
