Fun Family Day

Today we decided to all go up and golf at the golf course where Brandon works. It was so much fun! We started with lunch at the grill in the pro shop - Brandon's favorite food up there - bacon burgers with fries! Then we grabbed our golf carts and headed out. I just went to drive the cart and watch and Nick golfed all the par 3 holes. Nick and I have decided we are going to learn how to golf this summer so we can all golf a whole course together eventually.

It was a lot of fun!!! We plan on going golfing a lot this summer!

Congratulations

Congratulations to my brother Christopher for graduating from SMU law school last week. Here is a picture of him with my adorable niece Julia and super cool nephew Jack. Congratulations to all three of you!

Memorial Day

We had the Urry family Memorial Day barbeque at our house this year - it was lots of fun! Here's pictures of the afternoon.
We were missing a few (Nick left for Snyders before I got the camera out) but the afternoon was fun, lots of food and talking and good weather!

Congratulations Kris!

They were both amazing (and yes, I was totally rooting for Adam) but Kris is a great guy and it was wonderful to see him win tonight. Congratulations for winning and becoming the next American Idol!!!

Update: So obviously I was watching Adam more than Kris because I spelled his name wrong so my apologies and now it is correct!

Feeling (Almost) All Alone In Utah... GO ADAM!!

I am starting to think I may be one of 2 people I know of (besides my own family) in Utah who want Adam to win tonight (thank goodness for you Jamie or I'd feel ALL alone!!) but I SO want him to win! Chris is cute and sweet and a great singer but Adam can sing!! Listening to Adam and Chris sing the same song last night proved it again - Adam is the man! I can't wait to see the results show tonight - GO ADAM!!!

Baseball and Nick

Baseball season has flown by! Nick had his last regular season game on Monday. I can't believe how fast the last two months have gone! Here are some pictures from his game on Friday when he pitched. They won and as of now they are tied for first place! They have had a great season and have only lost two games.

The team they are tied with plays tomorrow night so we have to wait and see if the regular season ends in a tie or if the Yankees end up in first by themselves. The tournament starts next week. Go Yankees!!

Prom '09

Tonight is Brandon's prom and he is out having fun! I took a few pictures before he left and will get to see more (WITH his date!!) later. I like girls's choice dances because they pick HIM up and I get to see how pretty his date looks and how cute they look together in person! Oh well. At least I got one of Brandon with his buddy Nick. They drove together with their dates to meet up with the other six couples for a fun day and night! How cute is he! Paige's dress was black and white so he decided on white tie/vest and tails. When did he get this grown up!!

Adam is AWESOME - I loved rock and roll night!! I really loved the duet between Adam and Allison, they sounded great!

America's Favorite Past Time

Why is baseball called the favorite past time? I googled it... (Edward would be proud of me!)

century it was probably the most widely played sport in the country. Baseball

I know in Utah it's not as popular as where I grew up (Atlanta) but I LOVE baseball! Of course it helped that when I was growing up the Atlanta Braves were in their glory years and our family all loved the sport! My brothers both played and TBS (Turner Broadcasting Station and home of the Braves!) was always on our TV during baseball season. (Who recognizes this fantastic player from the Atlanta Braves??)

Even now I love going to professional games but enjoy just as much sitting at the little league park with our family and friends and watching the little guys enjoy the game.Baseball is difficult in Utah - because of the weather!! We start out freezing in cold weather, rain and occasional snow and end up sweltering in heatwaves that send us all searching for shade and cold drinks! But no matter the weather you gotta have these, they calm my nerves when Nick is pitching!!

Okay, enough said but come Monday I'll be cheering my nephew on and then Nick on Wednesday and Friday. Everyone pray for sun and warm weather (but not too hot yet, please!)
