Brandon - WAMA '10

Just a few pictures from Brandon's last dance. Dan took a couple before Brandon and Nick left to pick up their dates and the last one is stolen from Facebook of while they were out. WAMA is a very laid back, no stress dance that always has a theme. They go dressed up to match the theme and this year it was "what you see on the side of the freeway." Brandon's group went as truckers!

Today's THE Day

Today is Jared's BIG day!! He is officially at the MTC in Provo for his training for his mission! He will spend the next two months learning how to speak Spanish and then head out to the Detroit Michigan Mission. The last few days have been wonderful, spiritual and full of family, love and tears. I will post pictures later but we are so proud of Jared!! Way to go Elder Urry!! See you in March, 2012...

We are lucky tonight and get to have Ava and Lauren hanging out with us! Brandon made them a cool place to hang out and watch Monsters Inc. Aren't they darling!!!

Twi-sters in Midway!!

Last weekend was a really fun one for me - I went up to Midway with 17 other girlfriends and had a sleepover! We had such a wonderful time doing all the girlie things you are supposed to do at sleepovers - stayed up late (5am!), did our nails, got sparklies in our hair, ate LOTS of food - especially CHOCOLATE, watched chick flicks and TALKED and LAUGHED!!

It was so fabulous! The next night we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill and then a really funny play at the local theater that is a great takeoff on Twilight - the whole weekend was a blast and we can't wait until it's time to do it again!!

Middle Ages Banquet

Yesterday was Nick's Middle Ages banquet that the sixth grade does at his school. They work REALLY hard and do a major project to earn being able to attend the banquet. Not everyone in the class gets to go - they have to do all the requirements for the "A" level work. They have to write several papers, read a book and do a report, do acts of chivalry, do the dishes for 5 nights, plus a lot more! Those that do all the work and earn an "A" grade get to dress up like those from the 1300s did and attend the banquet. They learn a dance, the boys get knighted and the girls become "ladies" and thye EAT - a lot!

There were 5 moms from Nick's class that came and helped and we had to get dressed up, too! It is a lot of work for everyone involved but is so much fun!
