Brandon Sings

Last Friday night the Troubadores (Skyline HS Men's singing group that Brandon tried out for and made!) sang the national anthem before the game started. We recorded it so that those of you who didn't get to hear them could!

Our Saturday

It's Saturday again and of course that means another day full of football! Today was a big day for Nick's team, they were playing the only undefeated team in their division, West. We had to go to their field which meant an early morning to be out there by 8am. Both teams played really hard and both got a touchdown in the first quarter. Then nothing until the end of the fourth quarter. There was time for one last play and we had the ball on the 40 yard line. Riley got the ball and ran it in for a touchdown to end the game with a Skyline win!! So now they are in first place all by themselves - way to go Skyline! After we stayed for one more game so Brandon could film we left and went straight up to Mountain Dell Golf Course (where Brandon works) to meet our friends, the Stevensons, to golf 9 holes. We ate hamburgers at the deli and then headed out on the course. Lauren and I are not golfers so we went to drive the carts! Lauren and I had the most fun doing that! Dan, Sue, Mike, Nick and Austin all golfed and had a fun time. The weather was perfect - sunny and in the mid 80's. Now Dan is at work and both Brandon and Nick have numerous friends over so our house is full of boys. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Gus's New Haircut

Gus finally got a real haircut! He looks so darn cute and the place we took him to was fantastic. Jessica at A Cute Above did a wonderful job - 4 hours of scissor cutting him! We didn't want to shave him and Jessica went the extra mile for us and made him look darling!

Silly Little Boys

Little boys make me laugh. Nick and his friends had a sleep over last night at Austin's house. I had to take this picture - Nick, Hayden and Nick took a blanket out in the front yard yesterday afternoon to take a nap so they would be able to stay up later last night for their sleepover! I don't know what made me laugh more, the fact that they needed a nap to stay up late or that they decided the front yard was the best place for a nap!

I Love This!

I love this scene from Phantom of the Opera and just wanted to see it on our blog! Watch it, sing along (out loud is always best!!) and enjoy!!

Amanda's Office!

Update - I have to share this fact - Amanda is a REALLY good sport! She had told the Skyline boys if they won she would get them a candy bar. And she lived up to her promise - KitKats for everyone. Thanks Amanda!!!

Skyline's little league football team plays West's little league team this week. Both of the PeeWee teams are undefeated! Obviously someone will lose this week and the Skyline PeeWees are fired up about this game. I work at Canyon Rim Academy and our vice-principal (Amanda)'s son plays for West!! Three of our players go to CRA and so they got together with Nick, Austin and Nick Snyder and all made posters to put up in Amanda's office! It was really fun and the boys had a great time. It was a surprise for Amanda and she was a really good sport about it. She and I have been talking and teasing back and forth for weeks now about this game and now Skyline HAS to win! They made a deal with Amanda that if Skyline wins she has to keep the posters up for a week and if West wins the boys have to come back and take everything down on Monday.

Here are pictures of the great job and fun time the boys had this morning before school decorating Amanda's office. Thanks to her for being so great and helping the boys have a good time!

Our Football Saturday

Today Nick had a football game and I actually remembered to take our camera! I took a bunch of random pictures to help show why we love little league so much. It is much more than the game on the field, it also means lots of good friends and lots of fun.

Playing the game...

I love this picture - the four good friends were next to each other in the time out huddle - Nick Urry, Hayden Bowen, Nick Snyder and Austin Stevenson. Good timing!!
