What a Fantastic Weekend! Part I and Part II

Part I

Yes, that IS two ticket stubs, both to Twilight in a less than 24 hours =)!!

WOW!!! The past 3 days have been a whirlwind but SOOO much fun! First off the movie Twilight!!! Jeni and I went with a bunch of my Twilight friends to the midnight showing Thursday night/Friday morning. There were almost 50 of us! Here a few pictures from the night. AmyO had the t-shirt of the night! Plus, Amy got on her chair so the night had officially begun! We had soo much fun and the movie was WONDEFUL! I loved everything about it - Edward, Bella, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, EDWARD, the music, the scenery, the kiss...

Then Friday was our big event that Team Alice has been working on for 9 months and it went off beautifully! Plus it was time for our second time seeing Twilight in less than 24 hours! The women that all were a part of this event are amazing - thank you for letting me be a part of it with you - even though I made you all wear pink =) lol.New Moon, here we come! There was such a great turn out - almost 1000 guests! I have to say one of my favorite parts of the night (besides the movie) was getting all sparkley! I still have sparkles showing up!! Thanks to Tara for my picture of myself and Leesa with the cast ;), I was so busy handing out goody bags I never was able to take a lot of pictures that night! Jeni and Laura came out to see to with me and to enjoy the event. We even participated in Coven Feud and won! Here's Amy as our very own Alice!
As for the movie, I am already trying to plan my 3rd time seeing it. I just loved it! It was really good the first time but the second was even better. The first time I kept expecting what happened next in the book to happen. The second time I was able to let go of the book and just enjoy the movie. The scenery was breathtaking, Edward was beautiful, Charlie was hilarious (I love the part in the hospital!!) and it just made me happy to see it! And the kiss, WOW!! It really was that great! The movie grossed over $70 million for the opening weekend!! And Summit had announced they will be making the movie for book two, New Moon. **squeeee!!** Twilight Moms, our obsession continues!!!
Part II

Saturday morning came and it was time for Nick's last (yes, last, really) football game of the season. They had already played Wednesday night under the lights at the Rio Tinto field, home of Salt Lake's pro soccer team. They handily beat Brighton and had fun on the big field. Saturday they had a great game against Alta and ended their championship season on a high note winning 54 to 12. As the game ending water was thrown on Coach Popp Nick was standing in a bad spot and got as wet as his coach!
Down in the locker room before the game...We have loved this season and are sad to see it end but at the same time are ready to move on to basketball and to having some more time on our hands!! The only sad part of the tournament was when Jack, the starting QB and great kid, went down in a tackle and broke his arm. He had to have surgery to put three pins in. Our thought and prayers are with Jack and his family that he will have a quick and complete recovery! Here he is Saturday after the surgery on Friday - he really wanted to be at the game!!
This week wouldn't be complete without sharing the fun time Gus has had =(. Tuesday he had his "boy" surgery and he has had a tough week (which means we all have)! I just had to show how he has felt - not a happy puppy!!Have a great week!

Jeni and I are leaving about 10:30pm to head over to the District movie theater to meet up with the rest of Team Alice to have fun, squeal, swoon, sigh and just smile at the movie we have all been waiting for. Then tomorrow is the big premier day. We have been planning this event for 9 months now and it is finally almost here. =)

High School Pep Rally

Last week before Skyline played in their semi-finals the booster club had a pep rally/bonfire for them. They invited the two little league teams that won their chamionships to come and be recognized. It was a fun night and we had cute pictures!

I love this one, its Nick's team explaining to the high school boys how to "get 'er done!!"

Team Alice

It's almost time!!! The Twilight movie premier is on the 21st!! Team Alice is the committee that is planning the fabulous movie premier party out at The District movie theater. I have been having a blast being a part of this wonderful group that has worked very hard and had even more fun getting ready for this awesome party! We had our final planning meeting last Saturday. We planned the final details, passed out the PINK shirts (yes, you know who you are, that was for both of YOU!! ;-), put together the goody bags and had a fun time! I forgot my camera but thanks to Janet, I copied her pictures to share here. This is only a few of the 1,000 bags we put together!

THE CHAMPIONS!!!

THEY WON!!! Skyline beat Hunter 13 to 6!! It was a great game. Nick's team came out playing hard from the very beginning and they never quit. They have worked so hard this season and have proven that hard work pays off. They were so happy and so excited! Here is the team as they heard the final whistle and came running off the field. Here is the #1 World League PeeWee team! This is a picture of the coaches and their sons. Here are the players with their moms. Jeni and Laura were so supportive and came out to the game to cheer Nick and his team on.

Jeni, Laura and I after the game. Such good aunts and friends!!
Jeff Popp was the head coach and ran the offense and Dan was in charge of the defense. These two helped lead Nick's team to the championship!Dan and Mike Stevenson - they enjoyed coaching football and now will go coach basketball together!CELEBRATE!So now you think football is finally over, right? Wrong! The team is now going to go play in the Border Warz tournament. It is a lot like the tournament Brandon's team went to in Las Vegas last Thanksgiving but we don't have to travel and they play the next two Saturdays. It should be fun, Nick and Dan are glad football isn't over! I am just hoping for good weather! Have a great Sunday!

Good Luck Skyline PeeWees!!

Tomorrow is big game day for Nick and his PeeWee football team. They play Hunter for the championship so we made good luck signs with gold star balloons attached and put them in the players front yards. We went out late last night so the signs would be a surprise for the boys when they left for school this morning. Good luck Skyline!!!

Utah 13 TCU 10!!!!

What an amazing game! Last night Utah played TCU in what ESPN called the biggest game in the Mountain West Conference's 10 year history. They are both amazing defense teams and the winner of last night's game most likely will go on to play in a BCS bowl game. How awesome is that! ESPECIALLY when Utah won! Utah now is 10 and 0!! Another fun thing about last night was Utah had a "Black Out" game. The players wore black jerseys and pants and they asked all the fans to wear black - and they did! It looked really cool when we are so used to seeing the ocean of red in the stands. We were lucky and had tickets to the game last night! Nick and I had a few conflicts and couldn't go so Dan took his brother Jim and our nephew Jordan with he and Brandon to the game. They had so much fun! Brandon still can't talk this morning after all the screaming last night. When the game was over the fans all jumped on the field - including Dan and Brandon! They had a wonderful night at the game and Nick and I enjoyed it in our warm house from our comfy couches. GO UTES!!
