It Only Gets Better and Better

Once again... **major fangirly squeal**!!!

I really want that tattoo!! Temporary tattoo of course but still!!

Catching Fire

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book! If you haven't read Hunger Games hurry and do it! Nick is reading it now and he loves this series, too. The only bummer part? Now I have to wait until fall of 2010 for the next book in the series to come out. I hate that part...
Question - Team Gale or Team Peeta?? I am still torn!!! One day its Gale, one day its Peeta. I sound like Katniss!!!

"Official" Pictures and Bruised Ribs

I wanted to post the pictures Brandon and Mikele had taken at the dance. They are so cute! This week has been CRAZY busy - that's pretty much how we live through football season!!

Nick's football team played West last Saturday - those boys are BIG! I mean 200+ pounds big! Nick learned just how big when the West line all landed on top of him. He was in a lot of pain and we had him checked by one of the other player's dads who is a doctor. The pain wasn't getting any better so we took him in today to see his pediatrician and it turns out he has bruised ribs. Luckily nothing is broken but it still hurts a lot! I will try and remember to take some pictures this week.

The weather here is going to get really cold really fast! What ever happened to fall?!? We may have snow on the benches by tomorrow afternoon?? Yikes!

Brandon and Mikele...

The group (I guess Brandon was going for the cool/serious look!)...

Homecoming 2009

This weekend has been Homecoming for Skyline HS. Last night we all went to the game and had a really fun time. Skyline won and in spite of a little rain at the beginning it ended up to be beautiful weather.

Today started the marathon day that Brandon took his date on. He is in a group of 11 couples and they have had a lot of fun today! They started out going bowling and playing arcade games at Fat Cats. They then all went home to rest and get ready for the big night.

Dinner was at one of the boy's homes and myself and three other moms got together and along with help from some of the 11 year old girls we served them on the back patio. It was really fun to see them all dressed up and having a good time. Brandon's date Mikele looked beautiful and they looked really cute together.

Here are a few pictures before they left for the dance...

2nd New Moon Trailer!!!

here iT IS!!!! ( Yes, image the words getting louder just like that!) It is so awesome it is so worth a total fangirl SQUEAL!!!!

The '09-'10 Lingeries Debut!!

This year Brandon is a part of the Lingeries at Skyline HS. They are a tough-in-cheek group of senior boys that imitate the drill team - the La Nichees. It is done with a lot of humor and gets great appreciation from everyone at the school - including the La Nichees themselves. They performed at the first day of school assembly and here is a copy of the video. Look for Brandon coming in from the left side dressed in all white with a white headband. They did an awesome job!

They have made a music video to be shown at the Homecoming assembly this week so watch for that!

Little League Football Game Day!!

I promised pictures from football Saturday and here they are. Nick's team played Alta today as a cross over game (meaning it doesn't count in the final record) and they played awesome!! Alta has a HUGE league - over 900 kids in their program compared to our 150 in the Skyline program so they have a ton of kids to choose from for their "A" team. Our little guys held their own and forced the game into double overtime! Alta ended up prevailing and won 12-6 but it was a really great game to watch.

One thing that has been so fun this year is having our nephew Marshall joining the coaching staff. He is loving it and it is so much fun to watch him having fun coaching! Thanks to his wife, Amy and his darling girls Ava and Lauren for sharing him with our team!!

Pics from the day.....

Nick making a great tackle (he is the one with the yellow clips on his helmet coming over the player... Coach Marshall and Coach Dan (with Coach Ward)... Coach Marshall doing his job... Brandon does game film for the team - it must be exhausting work!! Lauren (Nick's friend) and Mikele (Brandon's friend) who are sisters came to watch and cheer...It was a really fun day and we get to do it all over again next week against Bingham - GO EAGLES!!!

***Thanks to Jeni for coming to cheer Nick on and for being the fabulous photographer for these pictures - I am no good during games for taking pictures and she did a great job!!
