New Moon Clips!!

Thanks to my friend Lisa for passing these clips on!! They are so awesome!! I laugh so hard every time when all the girls scream so loud. I can't wait for the movie!!

We LOVE That Game!!

I know it has been a while since I updated but we have been living the whirlwind All-Star summer baseball life. I'll post more later but here are a few pics of Nick pitching last Saturday night. They won that game! It was 105 degrees that day and we were there from 12 noon to 11pm. You can see how hot Nick got that night, he went through 4 Gatorades during that game!They are done now but the season was great and Nick had SO MUCH FUN!

WOW! Brandon has needed a haircut for a while and finally decided today to go do it. As he came in the door he called out "I decided to go with something a little different..."

He wasn't kidding! It looks great!

All Star Baseball!

Nick has been practicing all through June and into July with his all star baseball team. This team is a really great group of boys who have worked really hard and become good friends! They finally started playing games last Saturday and had a great day! They won their first two games which qualified them for the state tournament! Yesterday they ended up losing but they took third place and will start play this Saturday in the state tournie.

Nick had some pretty awesome hits in yesterdays games! He got an in the park home run, (with the help of one error =), actually hit it out of the park but it was just foul and hit two BIG hits - one was caught and one hit the fence. Good hitting Nick!!

Nick's B-day Party!

We FINALLY got to have Nick's birthdy party - 3 weeeks late due to various reasons but it was really fun! He had invited 19 friends (yikes!) and all but one came! It was a crazy mess of kids but wonderful at the same time. We fed them all hotdogs,chips and fruit to start. Then they went across the street and played Capture the Flag for a while.

Next they came back and had marshmellows over the fire pit, presents and cake, and finally the movie Bedtime Stories on the projector in the back yard. All the time mixing in the tramp, music and LOTS of talking, laughing and squeeling!

This is Nick one time when we went up golfing. I just love how calm and relaxed he looks!

Dan just took this one of Brandon and Gus this weekend. He just captured the moment when they were looking at each other while Brandon was talking to Gus - so sweet!

Okay, I know I breaking the rules but I had to include this picture, too. Dan took it last winter - its a snowflake caught on an icicle on our house!

The 4th of July - Part II

EDIT: It would have been way too long to put everything in one post so I broke it down but I messed up getting them in order - oh well!!

After we ate lunch Dan and Brandon decided they wanted to go golfing so we called Marshall to see if he wanted to join us - he did! Amy was a great sport and let him go with us (thanks Amy - next time you get to go have fun, too!!)

So we headed up to the course and the boys played 9 holes of golf while I had fun driving the golf cart and taking pictures! We had a great time - thanks for going with us Marshall!

The 4th of July - The Finale!

The 4th of July - Part III

Finally we went over to Sugarhouse Park to watch the fireworks! We headed over in the afternoon with our friends the Stevensons and the Bowens. Dan had to work for a few hours but met us there in time to see the show. Unless plans change this is the last year Sugerhouse will be showing the fireworks due to budget cuts for next year! This makes us sad - we have been going there to watch the fireworks almost every year since we moved to Utah!

We were there early so we had brought lots to keep the kids busy. They played volleyball, soccer, badminton, threw footballs, frisbees and baseballs plus just a lot of hanging out and eating! It was a great time and we were glad to see Dan when he got there.

The 4th of July - Part I

What a busy day! We started early going to watch our little neighborhood parade. We went the Hacketts like we do every year and this year our friends the DeBrys joined us. The little kids collected all the candy that was the thrown while we all watched and cheered. Here are some pictures from the morning!

After the parade we went down to the Midway at the park and let Nick play the games and just hung out. We all had a great time!

Out July 3rd Project - Completed!!

We have been talking for a while about putting a fire pit in our back yard. We didn't want anything too big but wanted it big enough for us to all sit around and to be permanent and in the ground. Today was the day! Dan, Brandon and Nick all worked very hard and ta-da! We even invited our friends the Stevensons over and used it tonight - yummy s'mores and all!

Utah Turf For Sale!!

Last night Brandon and 5 of his buddies camped out to buy a piece of turf for sale up at the University of Utah bookstore. Utah put in a new field this year and chopped up the old turf that Utah football had so much success on for the past few years! They actually did it for Sam's uncle. He paid the teenagers to camp out and get the pieces for him!

There was a lot of news crews up there and KSL put some pictures on their website. Here are a few! Also, if you happen to catch their news report Brandon was interviewed and showed up a couple of time in the background. Yeah, he texted me at 6:19 this morning to make sure I knew - yikes!

Looks like they had a great spot in line! They had plenty of food plus Sam's uncle brought them Wendy's at midnight. They had a blast, better them than me!
