It's That Time of Year

Our poor little guy is sick again. His annual respiratory problems, this time its viral pneumonia. Our wonderful pediatrician is letting us manage it from home (we have done this so many times and have the equipment needed) with oxygen for him when he sleeps but Nick is one miserable little boy. He is VERY bored, tired of breathing treatments, watching TV, etc. He is a very social and plays with his friends all the time and this is hard on him even thought he feels really yucky. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon!

WAMA

Brandon is off to his latest school dance - WAMA (Women's Association/Men's Association). His date is Lizzie White and they are going in a group of 9 couples. The theme tonight is "movies" so Brandon's group is dressing up like characters from Hercules the Disney movie. They are eating and watching the Utah basketball game before going to the dance then going bowling afterwards. I'm sure they will have fun! I'll post pictures of the group and Brandon with Lizzie when I get them later. Have a good weekend!

WOOHOO!!!

Tonight's the night!! Then I can watch Twilight whenever I want!!!

Living for Eden

Paul Cardall is a wonderfully talented musician who's piano music our family has loved for a long time. We were fortunate to be in the same ward as his sister in Atlanta and she and I were in Young Women's together. Paul came and did a fireside right after he returned from his mission and we have loved his music ever since. Even though we have never met Paul (besides the one fireside) we continue to have people in common (Yes, Utah is a small place!) and have been both saddened and amazed by his journey through life living with his heart problems. His music is incredibly beautiful and inspirational at the same time.Paul is currently waiting for a heart transplant and his musician friends whom many of us will recognize are putting on a benefit concert for him. Please follow the links below to learn more about Paul, his life and his music. Check out our playlist to hear some of his music.

If you are able please join Dan and I at this concert - the music will be wonderful and for a fantastic cause! You can by tickets online starting March 11th ($12 each or groups of five or more for $10 each) at www.livingforeden.com .

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

I know several of us passed this around a while ago but it is so funny I wanted to share it again! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Shrek, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were all having lunch together. Shrek said, 'I've always thought that I'm the strongest man in the world, but how can I be sure?' Angelina Jolie added, 'I'm told I'm the most gorgeous of them all, but sometimes I wonder. 'Brad Pitt said, 'I'm pretty sure I'm the hottest man ever but I've never had it confirmed.' They all decided that the best way to find out if their beliefs were true was to ask the famed 'mirror, mirror on the wall' to confirm for them whether Shrek was the strongest, Angelina Jolie was the most gorgeous and Brad Pitt was the hottest. They agreed to meet again the next day for lunch to discuss their findings.
The next day Shrek strutted to the table and said, 'Well, it's true. The mirror told me that I am the strongest man in the world.' Angelina Jolie said with a smile, 'And I know now for sure that I'm the prettiest woman alive.' Brad Pitt lifted his sad, hot face and as a single tear ran down his cheek he said....... 'Who the hell is Edward Cullen?!?!?!!?

Two Funny Boys...

This is too funny not to share. This was just Brandon and Jared in their own world sitting at dinner waiting for everyone to be finished eating. They didn't even know they were being filmed, they were just having fun!

5th Grade Colonial Celebration

The fifth grade at Nick's school had their colonial celebration to wrap up studying American history this year. It was really fun with lots of things planned. They were able to play games from the colonial times, have their pictures taken in front of a quilt, practice writing calligraphy with feathers, etc.

I was able to go help and was one of two mom's in charge of the silhouettes. Here's Nick getting his head traced and Nick and Austin cutting their silhouettes out. Look how cute they turned out!

They also had corn bread, apple cider and orange peel candy.
They were told they could dress up like the children of the colonial times and obviously this idea was more popular with the girls than the boys! Here is one of the teachers dressed up in her colonial clothes - so cute! They had a wonderful time!
